WHAT What is the main theme, story or key idea?
Players take it in turns to place land tiles down and decide if they wish to place a meeple. Land tiles consist of a variety of different options and if a field, road or city is completed any meeple nearby will gain points.
HOWHow do the key mechanics and ideas work?
To win Carcassonne players will need to gain the most points from the land tiles they have successfully placed. An important part of the game is making sure your meeple are put to good use as if there are no worthwhile land tiles nearby, you will gain no points for that meeple.
