How do the key mechanics and ideas work?
On a players turn they will be tasked with sharing 4 loot cards with one other player. 2 cards will be placed in front of both players and the outcome of this sharing contest will be dependent on both player’s choices. Players can choose to agree to take what they have been dealt, pick only one of the cards (guaranteeing a specific card they want) or fight in the hope of taking all four cards. If both players choose first pick or fight, then all 4 cards are discarded and play passes on to the next player. Each type of loot belongs to one of seven different categories and for the scoring at the end of the game; players are only awarded points for the loot category they have the most of and the one which they have the least of. If a player successfully ties a category, then both categories will reward the player with points - making it very important for players to not pick up unwanted cards.
