Skull

WHAT What is the main theme, story or key idea?
Skull is a bluffing game for 3 – 6 players which features a rule set resembling that of poker whereby the stakes are slowly raised to breaking point. Simply turning over a card in Skull has the potential to make players feel triumphant or be truly heart-broken.
HOWHow do the key mechanics and ideas work?
Each player will be handed four cards consisting of three roses and one skull. On a players turn they will then place either a skull or a rose face down. This continues until one player declares that they can find a certain number of roses amongst the facedown cards. A short and snappy bidding process follows whereby whoever bids that they can find the most roses is then forced to make good on their bet, whilst most importantly - not turning over a deadly skull. If a player succeeds, they have won a round and only need to do so one more time to be victorious; however, if they lose two rounds - they will be eliminated.
WHY Why is Skull worth your time?
Skull is a party game which anyone can learn after a brief one-minute explanation. It rarely comes down to luck, requiring players to read the room and judge whether or not a fellow player has played a skull or an enticing rose. The game is a portable treat that is perfect for games nights and introducing people to tabletop gaming.
