The Grizzled

WHAT What is the main theme, story or key idea?
The Grizzled is a game of friendship and survival set in a WW1 trench. 2 – 5 players will work together to avoid threats and complete missions so that they can survive the Great War.
HOWHow do the key mechanics and ideas work?
Each round will require a leader to determine the risks of the mission and decide how many cards each player will be dealt – the more cards; the riskier the mission (but the greater the reward). If three identical threat cards are revealed the mission will fail. The goal however, is to get through as many cards as possible to try and find the peace card within the deck of cards. Players hands are not face up so it’s important that the members of the grizzled communicate with each other to assess risks and maintain a high team morale.
WHY Why is The Grizzled worth your time?
The Grizzled features stunning artwork and is respectful of its theme creating a unique tabletop experience; especially considering some of the characters are named after real soldiers. Thankfully its also a fantastic cooperative game with suprisingly simple mechanics that are easy to learn and teach.
